Rollroll’s research explores her relationship with the world through literature and speculative research into non-human perspectives. Her practice also examines the relationship between cinema and fine art, as well as cross-cultural contexts and the interplay between language and non-language. Books and food repeatedly appear in her work as part of narrative elements. Her storytelling moves between food and language, literature and symbols, forming interdisciplinary narratives where incomplete language flows from one story to another. The same work may appear in different places, including mutability. Working through experimental moving images, film, and writing, she follows a spontaneous stream-of-consciousness process to construct a poetic world and to open new possibilities.
